Beijing Dentsu showed up at IAA World Congress -Winning the IAA Award for Outstanding Contribution for the Advertisement Industry in China

The 43rd IAA World Congress was held in Beijing from May 9 to 11, 2014. The 43rd IAA World Congress is presented by the International Advertising Association and hosted by the National Administration of Industry and Commerce and the Municipal Government of the City of Beijing. Over 1400 representatives from some 40 countries and regions around the world participated in the congress and over 50 Chinese and international guests delivered themed lectures. On the opening ceremony at the Great Hall of People on May 9, Beijing Dentsu won the IAA Award for Outstanding Contribution for the Advertisement Industry in China. Mr. Nagasaki Yukiyasu, General Manager of Beijing Dentsu received the award on the event. Four advertising companies won this award. 

At the venue of the IAA World Congress, the Dentsu Aegis Network received a lot of attention. Tim Andree, Executive President of Dentsu Aegis Network, Motohiro Yamagishi, CEO of Dentsu China and North Asia, Nagasaki Yukiyasu, General Manager of Beijing Dentsu, Li Xisha, Deputy General Manager and Niitani Tomohiko, Operational Deputy General Manager participated in the congress. On May 8, Beijing Dentsu received the 43rd IAA World Congress Logo Design Contribution Award presented by the organizing committee. On the afternoon of May 9, Tim Andree, Executive President of Dentsu Aegis Network had an interview dialogue with John Defterios, Anchor and Journalist of CNN. In the dialogue, Tim pointed out that the changes in media broadcasting and brand building come from the consumers’ change. He had an in-depth conversation with the anchor on the evolution of consumers. 

At noon on May 10, Beijing Dentsu successfully sponsored a Beijing Dentsu Luncheon for the IAA World Congress. They arranged delicious lunch for almost 2000 guests and prepared Beijing Dentsu’s 20th anniversary gift for the guests. Nagasaki Yukiyasu, General Manager of Beijing Dentsu and Li Xisha, Deputy General Manager participated in the luncheon, during which they communicated with guests and toasted to celebrate the congress. During the lecture session themed with “Advertisement, in the Youth’s Words” on the afternoon of May 10, Wang Yue, the Chief Brand Consultant of Beijing Dentsu shared his viewpoints as a young man on “the positive changes in the society brought by innovation”, “a change from one-way information flow to two-way communication” and “humanity observation is foundation.” 

The 43rd IAA World Congress concluded in Beijing on May 11. The performance of Dentsu Aegis Network and Beijing Dentsu was well received by the guests. It is Beijing Dentsu’s 20th anniversary this year and the glory presented by the IAA World Congress has made the celebration more festive and will encourage us to work hard for the next twenty years.
